Colorado

We have been in Colorado for a week and have had an amazing time. On our first climbing day we met some new friends who welcomed us and took us in like we were two stray cats. Thank you Jamie and Allan for being so hospitable!

The climbing in Colorado has been adventurous. If we were cats we might have used up two or three lives already. We have climbed at The Palace (sport crag) where we had to fight our way across the fast moving Pouder River. Lumpy Ridge in Rocky Mountain National Park has been our favourite climbing area so far. Despite the hour walk in, 30min straight up, and the worrisome weather that comes in really fast, we have climbed two classic trad lines. The granite cracks and gear are bomber. We have been on the wall while a t-storm came in 1km away, and yesterday we experienced a hail storm that started to sting.

Today we will enjoy some Colorado Brewery tours at New Belgium, O'Dell's, and Ft.Collins, along with some R&R.

In a couple of days we are going to check out Vedauwoo in Wyoming, visit with Callum and Rebecca in Portland, OR, then up to Squamish, BC.

We're thinking of everyone back home,
luv ya!
